(Characteristics)

It is not easy to distinguish this subspecies from ssp. poseidon.

(Spotted pattern)

♂: The FW with a rather narrow radial band, and only two or three black discal spots on HW. The subcostal golden spot on HW is small or absent.

♀: The ground color of the wings is dark blackish brown. The pale discal spots on HW are pale yellow, those of spaces 2 – 5 reach the cell, with a white cell-spot.
