(Characteristics)
- It includes four subspecies and one local form with primitive morphology distributed from Ambon Is. to the east coast of Australia.
- The FW upper side of ♂: without the median stripe. The submarginal band merges with the anal band and is wavy. The HW upper side of ♂: the wing shape is round and black discal spots are large and distinct. The submarginal golden spots present frequently. The black marginal border is broad.
- The ground color of the wings of ♀ is darker, and grayish-white spots on both FW and HW are smaller than those of other subspecies-group.
