INDONESIA [Irian Jaya] Wondiwoi Mts. (Wasior)
(Episodes of discovery and original description)
Subspecies described in 2007 by Deslisle based on 11♂♂ and 4 ♀♀collected in September 1980 in Wondiwoi Mountains (Wasior, 800 m), Wandammen Peninsula, Irian Jaya. The subspecies is named after Wasior, where it was collected.
(Characteristics)
Future studies are needed because of the small sample size at this time. The original description can be found that all the iridescent green bands on FW of ♂ are narrow and its color is monochromic, and the cell spot on HW of ♀ is smaller, submarginal area is darker due to more dark scaling and dark margin is broader. However, considering the individual variations, it seems to be in this category. Further research is needed. Incidentally, I could not find any difference between the nominotypical ssp. and specimen (4 ♂♂ and 2 ♀♀) in my collection.
