(Patterns)
♂: FW have a distinctive shape with pointed apex and concaved outer margin. The vein-stripes are well developed and bright yellow in color. Both vein-stripes along V4th reach the cell, and those of V1b – V3rd are also clearly visible on submarginal area. On the HW, the black marginal border and projections are not different from those of ssp. ruficollis, but the basal cell, a small chamber at the base of HW, is golden in many individuals.
♀: Very resembles ssp. chrysomelas from North Natuna Islands. Vein-stripes of FW are grayish white, and spread to all veins, centered at the tip of the cell. Therefore, they are quite bright. The yellow area of HW is creamy yellow.
