(Episodes of discovery and original description)
This was described as a new subspecies by Mr. Kobayashi in 1992 based on a collection of 10♂♂ and 6♀♀ by Mr. Nishikawa in June 1977 at Mt. Saran (1758 m) in West Kalimantan. The name of the subspecies was given in honor of Mr. Nishikawa’s achievement in collecting this species with great effort.
(Characteristics)
The most southerly highland subspecies, the female’s FW are dark chocolate in color, giving the appearance of a separate species.
(Spotted pattern)
♂: Slightly larger than the nominotypical subspecies, with larger black marginal projections on HW.
♀: The ground color of FW is dark chocolate, with grayish brown vein-stripes on submarginal area from the apex to the inner margin.

(Episodes of discovery and original description)
Based on 10 pairs (Mt. Goram: 9 ♂♂, 8♀♀; Mt. Bakak: 1♂, 2♀♀) collected between 1996 and 1997 at Mt. Goram and Mt. Bakak in the center part of Sarawak, E. Malaysia, Mr. Morita described as a new subspecies of T. andromache. The subspecies is named after one of its habitats, Mt. Goram.
(Characteristics)
It is intermediate between the northern nominotypical ssp. and the southern ssp. nishikawai, looking more like the latter, but not distinctive enough to make it a new sub-species.
(Spotted pattern)
♂: Size and pattern not different from those of the nominotypical subspecies.
♀: FW coloration intermediate between that of the nominotypical subspecies and ssp. nishikawai, light blackish brown.
