(Characteristics)

  1. Small to medium-sized species with a limited distribution, except for Troides haliphron.
  2. The wingspan of FW narrow with long anterior margin and a short inner margin. HW has a long inner margin, but anal angle is not pointed.
  3. The semi-translucent golden patch on HW of ♂ is very small.
  4. The upper surface of abdomen of ♂ is black or blackish brown, while the under surface is speckled with black and yellow.
