The forewings are completely black without any spots, which is typical female of subspecies titan. Some females of O. priamus poseidon (e.g. individual 00321), which overlap with this subspecies in their distribution areas, look exactly like those of this subspecies. This may be an example of Müllerian mimicry, in which toxic species resemble each other to facilitate learning by their natural enemies (mainly birds). (Yasui).
