This program provides the opportunity for young future researchers to network internationally while gaining international experience. Students are be expected to exchange information, share experiences, and their research with each other. The primary language for this program exchange will be English.\n\nThis program will be held at the Faculty of Agriculture from August 19 to September 20, 2019. The Faculty of Agriculture will invite international students to participate in the program.\n\nThis program is partially funded by a grant from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), a governmental support agency for scholarship loan programs, support programs for international students, and student support programs founded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Faculty of Agriculture of Kagawa University.\n\nSome attending students who attend will receive a stipend (in cash) shortly after their arrival to help defray their travel, lodging and other costs. Other students will attend as self-supporting students and will not receive financial assistance. (Please check it your home university if you are eligible for the stipend)\n<h5>Dates:<\/h5>\nAugust 19 \u2013 September 20, 2019\n<h5>Accommodations:<\/h5>\nCheck-in: August 19\n\nCheck-out:\u00a0 September 20, 2019\n\nPlease apply through your faculty or university.\n<h5>General Requirements<\/h5>\nInterns must:\n<ul>\n \t<li>be a full-time student of your university<\/li>\n \t<li>be in an undergraduate program, or a masters program<\/li>\n \t<li>must be enrolled as a full-time student at your university throughout the duration of our program (August 19 \u2013 September 20, 2019). So, 4th year students that will graduate before our program begins or finishes are not eligible.\nNOTE: This condition does not apply to self-funded students.<\/li>\n \t<li>be in a science program (preferably with an interest in food safety)<\/li>\n \t<li>have a GPA above 2.3 on a 3 point system for the most recent academic year<\/li>\n \t<li>submit a resume outlining their research interests and experience;<\/li>\n \t<li>a completed registration form;<\/li>\n \t<li>a transcript (an unofficial transcript is acceptable in PDF format);<\/li>\n \t<li>a letter of recommendation from one professor from your faculty\/department;<\/li>\n \t<li>a copy of passport ID page<\/li>\n \t<li>have proof of travel\/health insurance for the period of the internship<\/li>\n \t<li>be able to safely and confidently ride a bicycle.\n(It is approximately 3 km or 2 miles from the student accommodation to our campus.
