Our story began in 1903<\/strong> with the founding of the Kagawa Prefecture Agricultural College<\/strong>, one of Japan\u2019s earliest schools dedicated to modern agricultural education. From the start, the school focused on using science and new technologies to improve agriculture and support society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July 1955<\/strong>, the institution developed into the Faculty of Agriculture<\/strong>, expanding its role in education and research as Japan\u2019s agricultural and food industries grew and changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2003<\/strong>, the Faculty became part of Kagawa University<\/strong>, strengthening its position as a member of a national university and opening new opportunities for advanced research, graduate education, and international collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over more than a century, agriculture has changed dramatically, with new fields such as biotechnology, food science, and environmental studies transforming the way food is produced and managed. The Faculty of Agriculture has continued to grow with these changes while staying true to its original mission: advancing agriculture through science and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the Faculty of Agriculture and the Graduate School of Agriculture combine this long tradition with modern research and global perspectives. Our students and researchers work on real-world challenges, including sustainable food production, environmental protection, and innovative life sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
