Welcome!
My name is Adam Khalife, and I am a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture of Kagawa University in Japan.
I grew up as a true language enthusiast, speaking French as my mother tongue and studying English, Spanish, and Italian, as well as Latin and Ancient Greek. However, during high school, I chose a different career path, becoming a biologist to nurture my growing interest in the natural sciences.
While pursuing my university studies, I started learning Japanese through anime and music, before deciding to sharpen my language skills by conducting three research internships in Japan. In 2020, I completed a PhD in Ecology and Evolution at Sorbonne University in Paris, then joined the University of Le Mans in France as a full-time lecturer in Biology.
I decided to come back to Japan and joined Kagawa University in October 2022 as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow, before deciding to combine my passions for science and languages by taking on the role of full-time lecturer in Applied Communications.
Combining my experience in scientific writing and international presentations with my background as a trained biologist and non-native speaker of English, I hope to bring valuable insights into the needs and expectations of my students. My goal is to provide them with communication skills that will help them in any professional environment and help reach even their most ambitious goals.
