Overview

The Special Master’s Program on Sustainable Food Production and Management (SFPM) is a new program to develop new leaders for industry, academic and research as specialists in sustainable food production and sustainable food production management. The SFPM Program is offered through the Graduate School of Agriculture of Kagawa University.

Graduates of the SFPM Program will find themselves uniquely position to pursue a career in industry, in research or academics. Graduates may choose to seek employment or continue on to doctoral studies.

The SFPM Program was developed by the Graduate School of Agriculture of Kagawa University in collaboration with leaders in industry, research and academics.

The SFPM Program offers intensive studies in three core areas:

  • Research
    Students will conduct advanced research at the graduate level under the supervision of their academic advisor.
  • Business & Industry Expertise
    Students will take special courses related to food safety, quality control and management,
  • International Communication for business & academics
    Student will take special courses to gain communicative competence in Japanese and English.

Outcomes

Graduates of the program will have advance research skills, know how an expertise so that they are “industry ready” and professional communication ability in Japanese and English.
