The 2026 Short Visit (SV) Program at Assumption University, Thailand, concluded with a closing ceremony on February 26, 2026, marking the successful completion of an immersive international internship experience for our eleven students.
Students shared what they learned during the program through a 20-minute presentation in English covering Thai culture and language classes, laboratory experiments, and cultural tours. Their reports reflected both academic growth and deeper cross-cultural understanding developed over the course of the internship.
Following the student presentations, Prof. Dr. Peter Lutes and Lect. Dr. Adam Khalife offered comments and reflections, acknowledging the students’ efforts and the value of the international exchange. The closing remarks were delivered by the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee Yasurin, who expressed gratitude to all participants and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the two institutions.

The ceremony concluded with a warm farewell between Kagawa University and Assumption University students, celebrating new friendships and shared experiences by exchanging gifts and SNS information. Four Thai students will come to our faculty for a two-month program next April, and our students are ready to give them the warmest welcome.
The Faculty of Agriculture extends its sincere appreciation to Assumption University for hosting the internship and to everyone who contributed to its success. We are particularly grateful to Asst. Prof. Dr. Samatcha Krungkaew for coordinating this program on the Thai side. We look forward to our future collaborations and student exchanges.
