Kagawa University Ranked 78 in Japan
The Times Higher Education Japan University Rankings 2025 assess universities across Japan based on the quality of their teaching and learning environment. In this edition, 257 institutions from all 47 prefectures were evaluated using a framework that considers educational resources, student engagement, learning outcomes, and campus conditions. The rankings are based on 16 performance indicators, including measures informed by a nationwide student survey, and are used as a reference by students, educators, policymakers, and industry professionals to understand the strengths of Japanese universities in education.

According to a national ranking published by Daigaku Tsūshin Online, the Faculty of Agriculture at Kagawa University recorded a 100% employment success rate, placing it among the top agricultural faculties in Japan.
This result reflects the Faculty’s strong emphasis on practical education and career preparation for students in agriculture and life sciences.

Kagawa University Ranked No. 1 in the Chugoku–Shikoku Region for Graduate Performance
Kagawa University has been ranked No. 1 in the Chugoku–Shikoku region in a nationwide survey titled “Universities Whose Graduates Perform Well in the Workplace,” jointly conducted by Nikkei Inc. and Nikkei HR in 2025.
In the national ranking, Kagawa University was the only university from the Chugoku–Shikoku region to place within the top 20, receiving particularly high evaluations from corporate human resource managers.
Among the top eight universities in the region, six were national or public universities and two were private institutions. Kagawa University achieved the highest overall score, earning strong ratings in multiple categories, including:
- Initiative and proactive attitude
- Communication skills
- Intellectual and analytical ability
- Capacity for growth
Human resource managers commented that Kagawa University graduates demonstrate quick learning ability and strong motivation, indicating that many are well prepared to contribute immediately in professional environments.
Kagawa University emphasizes regionally rooted education and practical, experience-based learning. These results reflect the success of that educational approach. The University will continue to strengthen its collaboration with local communities and industries to cultivate professionals who meet the needs of society.
