On December 9, Kagawa University’s Faculty of Agriculture hosted the International Symposium on the genetic background of kiwi fruit breeding in the Kagawa International Conference Hall.
Guests included Dr. Huang Hongwen from the South China Botanical Garden, the South China Institute of Botany, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Dr. Allan Ross Ferguson from the Plant and Food Research Institute of New Zealand; as well as our own Professor Kataoka.
In total, about 90 researchers attended the symposium. It was a very productive conference highlighting the importance of genetic research in this area.
