The Faculty of Agriculture was pleased to welcome two faculty members, including Dr. Heng Hui Gan, and 16 students from the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and the Department of Food Science and Nutrition of Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore on Wednesday March 22, 2017.
Dr. Heng Hui Gan of the School of Chemical & Life Sciences and Dr. Lina Yonekura of the Faculty of Agriculture collaborated to arrange the visit. They were welcomed by Vice Dean Masahiro Ogawa, International Exchange Committee Chair, Prof. Osamu Kawamura, and International Exchange Committee Vice Chair Peter Lutes. Research and International activities of the Faculty of Agriculture were introduced, following which the delegation visited the Rare Sugar Research Center and the Food Chemistry Laboratory with Professor Tamura.
The delegation plans (March 20-26) also include visiting the main campus, the International Office, the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture and Shodoshima Island. This visit may lead to further exchange activities with Nanyang Polytechnic, including an exchange agreement.
