The Faculty of Agriculture welcomes staff trainees from Université de Savoie-Mont-Blanc

The Faculty of Agriculture welcomed three (3) staff trainees from Université de Savoie-Mont-Blanc on July 11, 2023 to undergo training related to the faculty’s Career Development Program on Food Safety. The trainees were hosted by Kagawa University under the Erasmus+ staff mobility program from July 10 to July 14, 2023.

Faculty of Agriculture Sessions
Morning Session:
The Université de Savoie-Mont-Blanc trainees were welcomed by Dean Prof. Kazuya AKIMITSU, International Exchange Committee Chair Prof. Osamu KAWAMURA, Prof. Masahiro OGAWA, and Assoc. Prof. Peter LUTES. Followed this, Associate Prof. Peter LUTES introduced the “Career Development Program on Food Safety” and discussed how programs integrated with international collaborative activities ad goals. The, Prof. Masahiro OGAWA led the group on a tour of the birthplace of rare sugars in the Faculty of Agriculture.


Afternoon Session:
After enjoying lunch at an udon noodle restaurant, the participants visited Kamebishi Co. Ltd., and CAVIC Co. Ltd., to learn about the production of high quality soy sauce and caviar, respectively. Both Kamebishi Co. Ltd., and CAVIC Co. Ltd., have have been cooperating with the Faculty of Agriculture in education activities.

The Faculty of Agriculture looks forward to various joint projects with the University of Savoie-Mont-Blanc in the future.
