Short-Term Academic Visit from Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP)

Two undergraduate students from Universitas Diponegoro completed a short-term academic visit to the Faculty of Agriculture, Kagawa University, as part of UNDIP’s World Class University (WCU) Program. The visit was organized on the UNDIP side by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Nimatullah Albaarri, Task Force Member of the WCU Program.

During their stay, the students engaged in parallel academic activities aligned with their respective fields:

  • Laboratory-based experiments in food science under the supervision of Prof. Masahiro Ogawa, providing hands-on experience with experimental methods and data collection in applied food science.
  • Preliminary research on international student adjustment under the supervision of Prof. Peter Lutes, contributing to an ongoing survey-based study on academic and social adaptation in international higher education contexts.

The program concluded with a farewell session and certificate presentation, overseen by Prof. Masahiro Ogawa, PhD (Dean, Faculty of Agriculture) and Prof. Peter Lutes (Chair, International Exchange Committee). Certificates were awarded in recognition of the students’ academic participation during the visit.

This short-term visit strengthened collaborative ties between UNDIP and Kagawa University while offering participating students practical exposure to research and laboratory work in an international academic environment. The Faculty of Agriculture looks forward to further cooperation with Universitas Diponegoro through future student mobility and joint research initiatives.
