On February 24–25, 2026, Peter Lutes of the Kagawa University Faculty and Graduate School of Agriculture visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Kamphaeng Saen Campus at Kasetsart University to discuss expanded academic collaboration.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, including the development of a Letter of Agreement (LoA) for academic cooperation between the Faculty of Agriculture at Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen Campus) and the Faculty of Agriculture at Kagawa University.
During the visit, Prof. Lutes met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanate Malumpong (Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services for Internationalization), Asst. Prof. Dr. Jukkrapong Pinyo (Assistant Dean for Research and Academic Services for Internationalization), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tee Havananda (Deputy Head, Department of Horticulture), Dr. Koonphol Pongmanee (Vice Head, Department of Animal Science for Research and Academic Services), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinapa Chungopast (Department of Soil Science), Dr. Sunittra Aupanun (Department of Entomology), and Dr. Panawat Sikhandakasmita (Department of Horticulture).
Laboratory visits were also conducted across several departments, including the Department of Entomology with Dr. Sunittra Aupanun and Dr. Jakkapan Puangpan, the Department of Horticulture with Dr. Panawat Sikhandakasmita, the Department of Soil Science with Asst. Prof. Pongpet Pongsivapai, the Department of Food Safety Innovation Established Project with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jukkrapong Pinyo, the Department of Plant Pathology with Dr. Salit Supakitthanakorn, and the Department of Animal Science with Dr. Koonphol Pongmanee.
Prof. Lutes also delivered a seminar introducing graduate study opportunities at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kagawa University, attended by 19 prospective graduate candidates.
The visit helped strengthen academic ties and identify new opportunities for research collaboration, faculty exchange, and international student programs between the two universities.
