Business Japanese Language and Japanese Business Education

Since 2009, we have successfully provided Japanese language education to over 75 international students, underscoring the importance of “pre-departure Japanese language education.” Starting from the interview stage, students are informed about the necessity of language proficiency and asked to develop a personalized language learning plan before arriving in Japan. After passing the entrance examination, a Japanese language teacher monitors the student’s progress online on a monthly basis. Students are also expected to sit for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), and achieve a level of N4 or higher for admission.

Upon arrival in Japan in October, students engage in intensive language study, aiming to pass the JLPT N3 in December. Over the next six months, students build practical language skills through specialized lectures conducted mainly in Japanese. They also take courses in “Business Japanese” and “Advanced Basic Skills for Working People” to prepare for careers in Japanese companies by mastering honorifics and business etiquette. As a result, most students reach JLPT N3 within six months to one year, with the goal of achieving N2 proficiency within 1 to 1.5 years.

Practical Education

The course emphasizes practical education, ensuring students apply their language skills in real-world contexts. Students can choose one of the following specialized seminars: “Advanced Farm Seminar,” focusing on sustainable agricultural practices; “Advanced Environmental Conservation Field Seminar,” which addresses the latest techniques in environmental preservation; or “Advanced Food Industry Career Seminar,” which provides insights into food production and safety. These seminars help students align their academic studies with their career goals, offering hands-on experience in their chosen field.

Employment Support

To support students in their professional development, regular meetings are held every two weeks between students and faculty to monitor health, school attendance, and career planning. A dedicated faculty member works systematically with companies related to the course to match international students with job opportunities. Additionally, faculty members collaborate to provide guidance for students who wish to pursue doctoral programs, ensuring a smooth transition to further education.
