About Us

Plant Genome and Gene Resource Center was established in the Faculty of Agriculture, Kagawa University, in 2009. Since then, the center has been continuously supporting a research and technology base to promote studies on plant genes (Phytogenes) that are responsible for the useful characteristics of plants and environmental stress resistance.

This time, we expand the target of gene sources for genome research from plants to microorganisms and animals, and renew the center as Genome and Gene Resource Center. The aim of this center is to contribute for securing research personnel and basic research as one of the research bases for genome and gene resource analyses, and the results of basic research contribute to our society.

Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture
