4月と5月は、タイのアサンプション大学から2名の短期交流学生、AlynaとApril、を研究室で受け入れています。4/16 (水) に、研究室のメンバーと高松市牟礼町にある郷屋敷（実際には、団体客の予約で一杯だったので敷地内にあるカフェ古遊楽）で歓迎会を兼ねた昼食会を開きました。その後、屋島山上で「かわらけ投げ」にトライしたり、新しく2022年にできた交流拠点施設「やしまーる」周辺でアートを観賞したり楽しみました。これから5月末まで、香川と日本での生活を楽しんでもらえればと思います。
In April and May, our lab is hosting two short-term internship students, Alyna and April, from Assumption University of Thailand. On Wednesday, April 16, we held a welcome lunch with lab members at the café “Koyūraku,” located within the grounds of Gōyashiki in Mure Town, Takamatsu City.
After lunch, we headed to the top of Mt. Yashima, where we played “kawarake-nage,” a traditional clay disc-throwing activity. We also enjoyed viewing art around “Yashimāru,” a community hub that opened in 2022.
We hope Alyna and April enjoy their time in Kagawa and Japan through the end of May!
