The first Kagawa University • Hanoi University of Science and Technology International Internship started on August 25, 2022 at the School of Biotechnology and Food Engineering of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Twelve (12) students from the Faculty of Agriculture (11 undergraduate students and 1 graduate student are participating in this 36 day program which is the first time since the global pandemic started that an international internship program has been offered by the Faculty of Agriculture.
The main contents of the training program are as follows:
- Laboratory trainning
- Classes related to food, agriculture, and biotechnology (conducted in English)
- Site visits
Two thirds of the students are supported by a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO),
The 2022 Kagawa University • Hanoi University of Science and Technology International Internship the program is being implemented under the JASSO Short-Term Program for the Training of Food and Agriculture Specialists for Globalization with two thirds (2/3) of the students supported by a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). The program also receives support from the Supporters’ Association of the Faculty of Agriculture. As a safety measure, three faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture (Assoc. Prof. Lutes, Prof. Ogawa, and Prof. Nomura) accompany the the students during the entire trip.
