The Faculty of Agriculture offers a structured English education pathway from year 1 through to graduate level — from first steps in overseas communication to full scientific presentations delivered in English.

2. CERTIFICATION TRACK
International Science Communication (ISC) Program
The ISC Program is a four-year certificate track for undergraduate students who want to build genuine scientific English proficiency. Participants take 20 or more credits of designated English subjects — spanning language courses, agriculture-specific science lectures taught in English, overseas research internships, and academic presentation training — and must achieve a TOEIC L&R score of 600 or above before graduation. The program culminates in full English presentations of mid-term and final thesis research before faculty and fellow students. From April 2026, ISC graduates can continue into the new Special Master’s Course on Food and Environmental Conservation, conducted in English alongside international students.

Outbound & Inbound Internship Opportunities
The Faculty of Agriculture offers a variety of international internship programs — both outbound (students going abroad) and inbound (international students joining our faculty) — with a minimum duration of two weeks. Opportunities vary by year and partner institution; students are encouraged to inquire early as places are limited.

Designer of the ISC Program, Prof. Lutes has taught English for Specific Purposes at the Faculty of Agriculture since 2007. He holds a doctorate in communication and leads the faculty’s international exchange partnerships across Southeast Asia.Profile & lab page →
Dr. Adam Khalife
Lecturer in Applied Communications· Member, International Exchange Committee
