PROGRAM TITLE: Development of a New, Small Food Business

Kagawa University: October 14, 2025 – October 29, 2025

Overview: The 2025 JICA Training Program for Japanese Descendants will be hosted in Japan at the JICA Training Center in Yokohama and at Kagawa University at the Saiwai and Agriculture Campuses.

(Food safety: preparation and handling; Product Development and Promotion, and Back-casting for Business Model Development)

This special program was developed as part of the Training Program for Japanese Descendants. It is supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). To purpose of this program is to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to establish a a new food business in their home countries.

JICA 2025 Training Program for Japanese Descendants

This training program, “Development of a New, Small Food Business”,  is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of the   JICA Training Program for Japanese Descendants.  It was developed to provide opportunities people of Japanese descent to visit Japan to acquire techniques and knowledge, and then apply these  acquired techniques and knowledge to the social, technical or scientific development of their own countries.

The 2025 Program focusses on Latin America, specifically Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.
