Post-Doctoral Researcher at Cornell University

Dr. Kentaro Sakata, PhD

Dr. Kentaro Sakata, PhD will join the Menon Laboratory of Department of Biochemistry, Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, one of the top universities in the world.

He will be working at the Weill Cornell Medical College on the reconstitution mitochondrial lipid membranes in vitro. His research will lead to a better understanding of human lipid metabolic diseases.

He completed his bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees at Kagawa University. He studied and researched for 6 in the Applied Molecular Cell Biology under the guidance of Professor Dr. Mitsuaki Tabuchi, PhD.

Dr. Sakata has presented my research at more than 13 academic conferences. He has won two awards for excellence at academic conferences. Based on his experiences and expertise, he was selected for an international postdoctoral position in the the Menon Laboratory under the Supervision of Professor Dr. Menon PhD.

While an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Agriculture he studied English Communication (English Communication, International English Practicums, Practical English) under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Peter Lutes and participated in international internships (SUIJI and SV).

As a graduate student he continued studying English (Basic International Research Communication) and presented at national and international conferences. His efforts in studying English and his communication skill have helped him to reach his goal of being an international researcher. We expect more accomplishments from Dr. Sakata in the future.
