I was pleased to attend the Opening Ceremony of UP Border Education through their new program, the University of the Philippines Ventures for International and Transformative Academia (UP VINTA). The opening ceremony was held at the Philippine Embassy to Japan, in Tokyo, Japan on March 22, 2024.
UP VINTA is a flagship programs of the UP System, to deliver UP quality education globally, making the UP education accessible and borderless. It was exciting to hear Mr. Angelo A. Jimenez, President of the University of the Philippines, articulate his vision for universal education and improving accessibly to education.
I was also pleased to hear of his interest in expanding on our previous activities, especially with the University of the Philippines Las Banos (UPLB) and the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).
