Ms. Yuna Kitamura has been honored with the Special Award for Academic Excellence in International Activities (学業奨励賞特別賞) by Prof. Dr. Masahiro Ogawa. This award acknowledges her exceptional contributions to fostering international exchange.
Currently a graduate student in the Horticulture Breeding Laboratory under Prof. Dr. Takejiro Takamura, Ms. Kitamura has actively pursued international engagement since her undergraduate years. She participated in the SUIJI International Program and specialized in English courses, building a strong foundation in international activities. As a graduate student, she has taken on leadership roles, including serving as the student leader for the SV HUST International Internship, supporting both international and domestic students in various activities, and volunteering for international outreach initiatives on campus. She also led the symposium organized by Chiang Mai University, Kagawa University, and Chiayi University, further promoting cross-cultural collaboration.
Ms. Kitamura’s dedication to the Faculty of Agriculture and its students has been recognized by the International Exchange Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Graduate School of Agriculture. She is also known as a standout student and leader within her laboratory and classes, serving as an inspiring role model for younger students.
