I was pleased to visit Sunway University for a courtesy meeting with Professor Dr. Kavita Reginald, Deputy Dean (Employability and Alumni), Sir Jeffrey Cheah Sunway Medical School, Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences.
Sunway University is a dynamic institution with clear strengths in medical and life sciences, and our discussion provided an excellent opportunity to explore areas of shared academic interest. We exchanged views on possible long-term collaboration between Kagawa University’s Faculty and Graduate School of Agriculture and Sunway University, with particular attention to food science, functional foods, graduate education, and student development.
During the meeting, I introduced Kagawa University’s international programs, including graduate study pathways, internship opportunities, and Japanese government–supported initiatives that may support future student mobility and academic exchange. We also discussed the potential for broader collaboration that could connect education, research, and international engagement in meaningful ways.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Professor Reginald for the warm welcome and thoughtful discussion. I look forward to the possibility of developing this dialogue into a productive and lasting partnership between our institutions.
